Chatham Gold Track & Field Program

What is Chatham Gold Track & Field Program? This is a fun opportunity to improve physical condition, increase self-confidence and try new skills through the sport of track & field.  Chatham Gold is a club member of USATF, the national governing body for Track & Field, and of the Road Runners Club of America, a national running organization.

Who can participate? Girls and boys born 2004 or before, of all skill levels, who live in the Chatham Central School District and surrounding townships may register.

Can Parents Help?  YES! Please let us know if you are able to help at practices and or at away meets.  We will need assistance with keeping track of events children are particpating in and helping them to get to the correct stations or events.

What are the activities? When? Weather permitting, we practice Wednesday and Sunday evenings from 5:30 – 7 PM, at the high school track. We will host track meets to compete with other youth track clubs from throughout the Hudson Valley and we will also travel for meets at the home tracks of other youth track clubs.

What are the Junior Olympics? Our season culminates with participation in the USATF Adirondack Association Junior Olympics track meet, held in the Capital District in mid-June, for all the youth clubs in upstate New York.  Chatham Gold athletes have had outstanding success at this meet in past  years and have qualified to go on to the USATF Regional meet and to the National Championships!

Information regarding Chatham Gold for the 2012 season will be posted at a later date.  If you have any questions please contact Michele Kraham @ 392-4622.
