The Morris Memorial after school program will open Wednesday, September 21st for the 2011-2012 school year.

The Morris Memorial Association after school program serves youth from the Chatham area Monday through Friday  from 2:20pm-6:00pm.  Activities include homework help, board games, computers, Wii gaming system, arts & crafts, pool, foosball, ping pong, air hockey, basketball,  volleyball, kick ball and floor hockey.

The Morris Memorial partners with various organizations and artists to offer various enrichment classes.  Enrichment classes offered in the past include Intro to Forensics, Party Planning and Gift Giving Using Recyclables, Pet Pals, Shadow Puppetry Workshop, Making Bat Houses and Eco Art and Action.

The above listed enrichment classes were offered free of charge.  The after school program is funded through grants, fundraisers and donations.

Foreign Language Program
The Morris also offers a foreign language program which is offered in 6-week sessions at the Mary E. Dardess Elementary School.  The classes are offered for one hour immediately following school dismissal.  Parents are responsible for transportation home from the language program.  Tuition, $10.00 per class is charged to pay the instructors. Italian and Sign Language are being offered on Wednesdays from September 28th – November 2nd. French will be offered Fridays at the Chatham Middle School October 21st -December 9th.  For more information or to register please call Michele Kraham at 392-4622.

Earth Day Party

Kids Boxing Class
Chatham Fitness, which is housed in the basement of the Morris Memorial, will be offering boxing classes for kids and adults beginning March 2, 2011.
Kids will meet on Wednesdays @ 3:30, Adults, Mondays and Fridays @ 6:30.

Karate, Aikido and Tai Chi classes are offered in the evenings at the Morris.  Karate, Aikido and Tai Chi classes are taught in the evenings at the Morris by community members.  Participants of these classes are charged a nominal fee.  For more information please contact the Morris @ 392-4622.
